Lab as it stands 2/24/02! |
Right now we just have those two working computers, although
there is one that is there that doesn't work, and an old apple
that might work but we have no power cables that
fit it...

This student
is doing very well. In only a few weeks of training, she is now
able to go in there by herself and: turn on the computer;
get past the network logon screen; open up Wordperfect by double-clicking
on the icon with her mouse; and type a complete sentence,
complete with a question mark! We are working on getting her
to remember how to save a file and also how to open it.
Internet should be coming.

Eventually we
hope to clear out all of these shoes and have computers fill
the walls. There are a number of arguments for keeping
the comptuers both in and moving them out of the thrift
store. Eventually we will have to make a formal decision, but
even once we get DSL I want to have them in here.
